Tree Felling

Our friendly team of tree surgeons will carry out the job to the highest level possible, and ensure that you’re happy with the end result.

Section Tree Felling

Section felling is used in situations whereby there is a risk of damage to surrounding property or it has the potential to harm the public. The work consists of the entire removal of the tree in sections. If a delay between felling and stump removal is to occur, the stump will be left at a minimum height of 1.5 metres (to ensure it is not a trip hazard).

Section felled trees will be dismantled using the step cut, break off and controlled throw method with the use of lowering ropes.

Straight Tree Felling

The straight felling of trees is the removal of trees as a single unit. Straight felling is limited to such situations where there is sufficient space to do so and poses no risk of damage to any surrounding property or is a hazard to a passer-by.

Trees that are straight felled are guided with the use of pulling ropes and felling wedges as required to ensure the intended direction of the controlled fall.

Note that some trees have preservation orders and to do any work on them will require the permission of your local authority.
